Following the "Cookie Cutter" Recipe for Success

Anytime that you are writing for a Web 2.0 marketing authority piece, you need to consider following a cookie cutter recipe for success. Listen up, print this out. Here is the recipe for Web 2.0 LOVE!!

Don't write nilly willy, write to get your materials picked up, read and write things that people are searching for. Guess what that means? You need to do keyword research and see how popular your keywords and ideas are. Use the tools, or you will be writing but nobody will be reading.

First: Every single beginning paragraph starts with the keyword phrase you are targeting. This will get picked up by the engines as an authority piece even though the engines change their standards and rules al the time ~but for now, this is golden.

Add a hyperlink using your keyword phrase if this is allowed. Places like hubpages allows you to include a hyperlink to an authority piece, whereas articles posted in sites like EzineArticles.com will not allow these types of hyperlinks. In this case, you use the signature line at the bottom to take your reader to the site you want to direct all of your traffic to.

Next bold your main keywords and put it in quotes. This is search engine crawly spider bait. It tells the spider that 'this is important on the page and should be noted so'.

So BOLD your article's keywords and put those keywords within "QUOTES"

Next, use a long tail keyword phrase and use this in another hyperlink. For example, if you are using name brand marketing principles, you can use a link with words like, "how to brand yourself" and send the traffic to an authority piece that you want to draw more readers to. This is the art of back linking. Here's what that strategy is all about...

The Floor Plan to Web 2.0 Keyword Linkbaiting

With the tidal wave of spam everyone receives, it is critical to learn efffective marketing methods that stear clear of stereotyping you as a 'spammer'.

Here'e a good strategy for creating readership and for magnetically drawing prospects to YOU using articles and hubpages without resorting to spamming for a living.

Let's say that you have an article that you are using on hubpages, for instance.

On that page, you are using your keywords in every paragraph and starting the paragraph with your chosen keyword (so long as you can make it readable and flowing). Keep in mind to:

  1. Make sure you are using BOLDED keyword phrases, and..

  2. Make sure that you are using that keyword in a link to your capture page, and..
  3. Make sure you are putting that keyword between quotes, and finally..
  4. When all of these details are taken care of, you can start with another RELATED long tail keyword phrase like "learn how to name brand yourself" which now serves the second intention for your article which is to develop readership and back links to an authority article that you want to make popular and rank highly.

When this happens, your article begins to climb in ranking, becoming very well read, finally it climbs in priority in the Google Search Results page. Therefore, when someone is searching for the keywords that you are targeting in that article you have a greater chance of being read.

Now, let's look at another tip.

Never stop the keyword targeting until you have written the very last sentence on that article. If you promise a review in the title, make sure you deliver on the promise, if you are talking about the products, give them a list of the products.

Always remember to keep breaking up the ad copy as this keeps the article interesting, and also remember to talk about the training with samples of topics that they will be training on.

Having accomplished the SEO (search engine optimization) magic of using keywords, bolded keywords, linked keywords, and "keywords in quotations" you now give your readers some 'meat and potatoes' in the text body your article page.

Magnetically Attract Your Ideal Prospect

What are new marketers looking for? They're interested in training.

Go for the gold and give them what they are searching for.

For example, if your title is "The 10 top tactics that turn you into a killing marketing machine", then give them what they came for. If this article talks about the training that they will be receiving which expands upon these Top 10 tactics for killer marketing, then go into greater detail.

What is the training going to cover? Make a list of the topics that will be discussed. Each of these topics are KEYWORDS. Therefore, your bullets, are further keywords that will be captured by the search engines that crawl your page.

Remember, this is not spamming, like when someone places a bunch of empty keywords that are wastefully dumped into a pile of tags. This is sloppy marketing.

Instead, using this keyword focused page, you will be talking about what items your prospect will be trained on.

Also, use this opportunity to talk about any private mentoring, or mentoring groups that will be included in their membership. Use every resource that you have at your disposal.

Get wild with this, a brief video review of what the hubpage is talking about will be the hammer to bring this nail home. Using one to two keywords, laser focused attention that brings the viewer a full sensory experience and completes the marketing project.

Hubpages Are Very Popular With Google

I like hubpages, because they allow links as long as you are providing value to your readers.

You can finish up a hubpage with some targeted links to your blog posts, or even to other hubpage posts.

This starts a back linking campaign that gets them ranking higher. Your hub can be a center for redirecting readers and by linking back to the hub, you are increasing it's page ranking and rising in the Google Search Results Page so more people can find you when they search for the keywords you are writing about.

Yes. Is this possible? I read your articles and other hubs, but I wonder if it is safe.

Al, what is your fear? What are you afraid of? Losing your anonymity or of theft identity? Financial losses, lawsuits? If anything was totally safe, no one would do anything but work for someone else and our country was built on entrepreneurship and the small business models.

There is no safety anywhere Al. Just ask anyone that worked for ENRON if their trust in the parent company provided them with retirement cashflow solutions for all of their dedication and loyalty years. Was there safe harbor there?

Regarding online security and identity theft, sure there is some safety considerations. Grab my article feed, i write excellent online marketing tips for the Ezine Article Directory and I have an article on Internet safety issues. I'll make a mental note to continue to provide information on this topic.

Hope this helped. I know it's not a thesis, but what can I say in two inches of print to put you at ease my dear Al?

The FEED for my articles is at http://ezinearticles.com/members/rss/Ana-Hernandez and my blog PACKED with ideas is found at http://www.netrageouz.biz

Good luck to you and keep on asking... Inquisitive natures grow...

Thanks, Doc. I guess that being close to retirement and not having a good nest makes me worry about where to get extra money without having to bust my back. I appreciate your input. If I keep reading and asking questions, maybe I will get more confident. This internet stuff makes me nervous. Thanks.
